A new colleague who is looking for a great adventure in an extraordinary environment and who will become the operations manager of the Belgian pavilion at the next World Expo, Expo 2025 Osaka. Someone who likes to be involved in a big international project and to get to know all the details from A to Z, who establishes and maintains contacts smoothly and who can structure and follow up well.
Join our pavilion team:
We would like to strengthen our team in Osaka with a member of staff who is in charge of the operations and logistical activities of the pavilion. You will manage all logistical, technical and security matters of the Belgian Pavilion and be essential in creating an efficient, safe and resilient environment for its staff and visitors. All operational matters from different sections at the pavilion will rely on your assistance and support.

The job is very varied. At the Expo, no single day resembles the previous or the next. Therefore, we are looking for a flexible and agile minded person, with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
JOB CONTENT
Some of your tasks will include (non-exhaustive list):
- Logistics and technical support
- General facility management including waste and stock management
- Organize transportation and customs clearance of goods (both commercial and non-commercial) from Belgium to Japan and vice versa
- Organize all deliveries by third parties, follow-up on all orders made by different sections of the team and the related administration
- Coordinate local logistics and warehousing for the pavilion shop in cooperation with the retail and commercial manager
- Reporting and financial follow-up (on your activities)
- Security / risk & crisis management
- Management of security, risk & resilience of the pavilion
- Implement procedures according to security regulations
- Support the flow / crowd control operations
- Assist in business continuity / emergency management
- Point of contact for Belgian pavilion security team, Expo 2025 Osaka security team and local authorities
