This morning at 11 a.m., during a press conference attended by commissioner-general Pieter De Crem and the Chairwoman of the BelExpo Board of Directors, H.E. Jehanne Roccas, the concept and interpretation of the ‘visitor journey’ for the Belgian pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka was unveiled.
Following a government tender procedure, BelExpo, in collaboration with the Buildings Agency, awarded the contract to a consortium. The winning consortium, comprising Dirty Monitor, Profirst, Tempora, ShowTex Asia and Barco, presented their vision for the pavilion this morning.

Construction of the Belgian pavilion is in full swing and the development of the ‘visitor journey’ has started. Preparations are going full steam ahead towards the grand opening of Expo 2025 Osaka on 13 April 2025.
‘Name our Spirit’ contest
During this morning's press conference, the official mascot of the Belgian pavilion was also unveiled. Our spirit is only missing a small piece of the puzzle: a name! Name our Cell, Save the Day, enter the competition and stand a chance to win a plushie of the mascot and a dinner for two in the Belgian pavilion.
