Held at TheMerode on 12 March 2026, BelExpo's "Expo 2025 Osaka Closing Event" was the perfect opportunity for more than one hundred participants including partners, staff and, others involved with the Belgian Pavilion to reunite one last time.
Former attendants of the pavilion and partner company CEOs alike rejoiced while looking back on our joint achievements at Expo 2025 Osaka. Many took some final selfies with our official mascot BeluBelu at what may have been its very last public appearance!
In a panel discussion hosted by BelExpo’s Aldwin Dekkers, Pavilion Director Myriam Cops and architect Camille Descamps reflected on the challenges of this remarkable project and shared their perspectives for the future.
Commissioner General of BelExpo Pieter De Crem and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, Economy and Agriculture David Clarinval expressed their gratitude to the audience including the Ambassador of Japan to Belgium, for the expertise, support, partnerships, and resources without which the Belgian Pavilion could not have been built.
Once more, BelExpo wishes to profoundly thank everyone who helped make the Belgian participation in Expo 2025 Osaka possible.
Here’s to many more World Expos! 🌍
