Take part in Expo 2020 Dubai’s Global Best Practice Programme
Expo 2020 Dubai’s Global Best Practice Programme is calling for solutions tackling the pandemic from across the world
The Global Best Practice Programme is inviting innovative responses, that are already helping people prepare to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic – while also contributing to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, of which the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a key part.
This special edition of the Programme will gather and spotlight effective and successful initiatives for localising response and recovery in relation to COVID-19 that can be adapted, replicated and scaled for enhanced impact worldwide. The call is aimed at recognising and promoting visibility of integrated development best practices for a better 2030, with a particular view on creating a better normal as we come out of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
The programme is inviting individuals, communities, NGOs, start-ups, health workers, businesses, governments and international organisations to share solutions from around the world in response to tackling COVID-19. Calling for short and long term solutions, based on new and innovative approaches to health services, public spaces, technology, education, livelihoods and basic amenities and services. By sharing success stories with visitors and participants from across the world, the Programme will place people at the centre of change, with communities as the ultimate beneficiaries.
This is Expo’s platform to showcase simple, yet impactful interventions localising the SDGs – projects that are providing tangible solutions to the world’s biggest challenges. The programme spotlights selected projects and highlights how these solutions have yielded positive impacts; culminating in a dedicated exhibition at Expo that will convene diverse stakeholders to learn and share different project components that can be adapted, replicated or scaled globally. To date, the programme has selected 45 projects from 34 different countries to exhibit their work during event time.
