Happy National Day - اليوم الوطني to everyone! Today we celebrate the UAE's formal nationalization in 1971. Followed by the joining of the seventh emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, in 1972. Grand celebrations are held across the country to mark the event. Car rallies, dance shows, concerts, fireworks and a parade in Downtown Dubai are a few of the ways in which people celebrate this day of joy and happiness.

Touchdown in Dubai 🇦🇪– This week we were generously invited by the Belgian Club in Dubai to give an updated presentation of the Belgian Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai. Katleen De Bauw, president of the Belgian Club Dubai and Diego Naessens, chairperson of the Belgian Business Council, welcomed us with open arms. It was a wonderful feeling to be able to present the Belgian community in Dubai with the progress made on our Pavilion. Fully charged and ready for some work...

#FlashbackFriday because we just can’t get enough! Take a look at this magnificent structure. Another legacy that remains after a World Exhibition. The Brussels 1935 Expo gave cause to the conception of this perfect example of the architecture flourishing at the time of the Expo in 1930’s Brussels: Art Deco. The building remains invaluable even today as it is still used for various events. It houses a concert hall and show venue that can also serve as a high-capacity convention hall.

#ThrowbackThursday is on! This week we would like to show you Belgium’s participation at the World Expo, now 4 years ago, in Milan. The Belgian Pavilion, built and made operational by Besix-Vanhout THV, architects Patrick Gerard and Marc Belderbos and Cenergie, received a special mention during the Expo in the category "design and materials" due to its use of sustainable materials and its demountable design.
