Belgian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka celebrates 200,000 visitors as HRH Princess Astrid prepares for official visit

Osaka, 29 May 2025 – Today, the Belgian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka proudly celebrates a major milestone: over 200,000 visitors have already experienced Belgium’s vision for "Human Regeneration". With a steady daily attendance of approximately 4,800 to 5,000 guests, the pavilion has quickly become a highlight of the Expo, reflecting strong public interest and engagement.

As we approach the two-month mark since our official opening on 13 April, momentum continues to build. The past weeks have been marked by a series of successful thematic highlights, including Belgian Architecture and Design Week, which concluded in early May. Currently underway, Wallonia Week is attracting enthusiastic crowds with its dynamic programme of cultural and economic activities.

Looking ahead, the pavilion’s vibrant agenda continues with upcoming highlights such as Food & Beverages Week (9–12 June), during which visitors will be treated to a taste of Belgium’s renowned culinary excellence. Many more thematic weeks and special events are planned throughout the summer and autumn, ensuring that the pavilion remains an evolving space of dialogue, discovery and celebration.

A key moment for Belgium at Expo 2025 will occur when Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid will lead a mission to Japan. She will be accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Lorenz.

As part of their visit, on Monday 9 June, Their Royal Highnesses will attend the World Expo in Osaka, where they will visit the Belgian Pavilion as well as the host country’s pavilion. Their presence will underscore the economic and diplomatic importance of this global event. During their time at the Belgian Pavilion, they will support Belgian industry by participating in an activity hosted by FEVIA, the Federation of the Belgian Food Industry.

The Belgian Pavilion team looks forward to welcoming Their Royal Highnesses and showcasing Belgium’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration under the theme of Human Regeneration.
