Governments had until six years before the opening of the 2025 universal exhibition to submit their candidature and these projects have been assessed over the last few months.
The final presentations by Japan (Osaka), Russia (Yekaterinburg) and Azerbaijan (Baku) will take place in November. The 170 member states of the BIE will then decide where Expo 2025 will take place.
