From 6 till 12 November 2021 the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX) and Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI) organise the Wallonia-Brussels Week at the Belgian Pavilion. Throughout the week, they will present the expertise and excellence of Wallonia and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation to both professionals and visitors.
Several Masterclasses, workshops and interactive sessions will take place in our BeBizz (Business Center). The sectors in the spotlight: Diamonds, Agri Food, Fashion Design, Chocolate, Tourism, Equin, Multimedia and Aerospace.
Visitors will also be invited to daily artistic performances in front of the Belgian Pavilion :
- Laurent Blondiau and the band Määk will provide the musical entertainment for the week, mixing jazz sounds with the voice of Belgian-Moroccan singer Laïla Amezian, imbued with North African vocal traditions. Belgian musician and award-winning jazz trumpeter Laurent Blondiau is a harmonic explorer. This Belgian musician and jazz trumpet player received the best European musician prize in 2009 awarded by the Jazz Academy.
- The Stilt Walkers of Namur will perpetuate a tradition of jousting on stilts, in which two companies compete in a seven centuries old art. This is a live sporting show !
- Noir Artist is the story of two brothers who transmit their values through paintings, monumental frescoes, wall art, trompe-l'oeil and more.
- And to make sure everyone is in a good mood, In the Air will perform its promotional & technological magic tricks to entertain the visitors and families.
A gala evening will also be held at La Perle, the permanent show of the Walloon Franco Dragone, within the Al Habtoor City hotel complex.
